Does low exercise intensity influence overall activity levels throughout the day? Does it influence physical and psychological health? The BC-PAL Study is designed to answer these questions for breast cancer survivors.
This research study aims to examine the effects of doing exercise at light intensity on overall physical activity levels, as well as physical and psychological health in breast cancer survivors. The term "intensity" refers to how hard you exercise within a given period of time. This research will help us determine the best strategies for breast cancer survivors to increase and maintain their overall physical activity levels.
The goal for the BC-PAL Research Study is to recruit 88 participants.
The BC-PAL Study is a research project funded by the University of Calgary's O'Brien Institute for Public Health and The Carole May Yates Memorial Endowment for Cancer Research Fund.
